  22. Greg Maier asked about playing .au files.  If you're running Windoze,
  23. get a copy of the shareware program Goldwave.  Or get sox7dos.zip from
  24. epas.  It will convert several sound formats, and I think you can use
  25. it to change to a format play-whatsit understands.  (It's too early for
  26. me and my GUS is at home :-)

  28. btw, underdog.au isn't a wonderful recording, but it is recognizable.

  48. I'd like to echo this message and direct it to both MidiSoft and Howling
  49. Dog. Charging big bucks (I consider $75 to be big bucks) for the "Pro"
  50. version of your program when you've stripped out the more useful features
  51. in the "free" version, isn't exactly a cool thing. I've seen a few
  52. responses from Eric Bell saying basically, "Oh, you can't do that with
  53. PowerChords, get PowerChords Pro [out real soon now] for $75." Or the
  54. hacked up helpfile in Recording Session that lists options that don't
  55. exist.

  57. Either include full-featured versions of software that WORKS or don't
  58. include anything. Getting shareware (wconvert.exe) or "stripped" programs
  59. doesn't reflect well on anyone, especially Gravis...

  70. I too had lots of problems with MRS, I stopped using it. Too bad,
  71. cause it looks like a decent user interface. I'll be spending my 
  72. cash on PowerChords Pro in a few weeks.

  74. My message to Midisoft is that I won't be purchasing their
  75. "full blown" version based on my experience with the freebie version.
  76. I think the demo version kind of backfired...
